Vince McMahon, CEO of WWE, woke up one morning in a cold sweat. Fearing that AEW, a competitive promotion started by Cody Rhodes, will overshadow his business. He ran to the phones, dialing furiously. In five minutes he was throwing six figure numbers at Brooklyn Brawler.
"I heard Mr. McMahon begging from his office." reports one intern, "He was saying things like 'whatever you want. A new jet. Exclusive title reigns. A fresh story line. Just please don't go to AEW.' Unfortunately, Brooklyn Brawler said he needed permission from his manager at Gaetano's Deli and Imports before he could make a decision."
Next, Vinnie Mac got back on the phone and called up Doink. It was the same pitch. He was in complete hysterics that the AEW was scouting the clown jester wrestler. Doink was doing a guest appearance at a Comicon in Mississauga so the phone went right to voice mail.
"I don't know what I will do." Vince says with tears of anxiety, "AEW is watching me, waiting to strike." He then called up Sable and Gillberg to see if they were available for a multi year contract.
